He's shown in profile, in the dramatically-lit and moody style which Karsh of Ottawa made his signature. The portrait was shot in 1949. This print dates to the period, either 1949 or the early 1950s. Size: Sheet size is 11" X 14", image is 10.675" X 13.5". Frame Mark: Large "Copyright by Karsh" stamp on reverse. Condition: Clearly a magazine or newspaper file copy, with grease pencil marks in the margin. Light surface scuffing which can be seen in raking light corners, bumped, some light crazing to gelatin surface. some grease pencil numbers on reverse. Shipping weight is 6.0 lbs.
