Description: An impressively large and heavy bronze medal dated August 20, 1942. The medal has a flag saying ARMY NAVY with the letter E within a wreath between the words and an airplane above and below the flag on the obverse. There is also the legend "CURTISS-WRIGHT CORPORATION-AIRPLANE DIVISION BUFFALO, N.Y. PLANTS ONE and TWO" along the edge of the obverse. The reverse has the legend "PRESENTED IN APPRECIATION OF YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE EARNING OF THIS PRODUCTION AWARD" in 6 lines followed by the logo of the Curtiss Wright corp. then the words "CURTISS-WRIGHT CORP. AIRPLANE DIVISION BUFFALO, N.Y." in three lines below it. The medal, which is 76 mm in diameter heavy and weighs 200 grams. It was presented to the factory workers in appreciation for their efforts in gearing up for wartime production. You will receive same medal pictured and might use a nice cleaning but will leave it to new owner/collector
