Description: USS Benner Lot Sailor Gunnar Wedberg from Dekalb Illinois scrap book. Includes the decorated envelop he sent. Plus photos of his friends on the ship. Some of the photos of are Gunnar Wedberg back in the US, including a marriage photo. Scrapbook with 90 or so photos plus souvenirs such as beer labels, tickets and such from Japan. A bunch of loose photos and a gaint photo of the ship with his friends signatures and hometowns on the back. The loose photos are not included in the count of 90. So easily 110 photos plus the paper in the scrap bool. I tried to photograph everything but ran out of photos. A few are edited together. Neat time capsule. Envelope in the front is dated 1947. Looks like just after WW2 era. Some of photos are in rough shape. Some of the albums missing photos are likely in the loose section of photos. The scrap album is very rough condition. It smells some too.
