Description: An original WW2 LUFTWAFFE "FLIEGERKARTE" map of GERMANY featuring MUNICH, KARLSRUHE, STUTTGART, NURNBERG etc. It's an officially produced composite, consisting of four smaller 'AERONAUTIC' editions (FLIEGERKARTE), which have been mounted on a 'coated' backing sealed with a stitched edge. The coating would have offered some small degree of basic protection from the elements. There are some intriguing operational flightpaths marked in blue. Printed in September 1940 during the Battle of Britain. Overall condition is good for its age and service use, although it's a bit crumpled and the back has what seems to be a large ink stain (see photos). The map came to me with a small number of Luftwaffe maps of Europe which I am currently listing. Measures approximately 92cm x 89cm. Will be shipped as per its existing fold lines.
