Excellent Jackson photographs showing the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Clear Creek, Glenwood (called Canon of the Grand River) and others. Very Good. The cover lettering is bright and clean. The covers have minor soil spots. Light wear to the edges. A tiny tear to the cloth at the heel. Internally, some soiling on the title page. The images are, for the most part, bright, clean and clear. The snap closure is tight and works well. However there is the beginning of a tear around the snap on the inside of the front cover. Hardback octavo. Featuring the work of William Henry Jackson (1843-1942), one of the most celebrated early photographers of the Rocky Mountain region. Nicely printed views of canyons. Original green portfolio, with snap closure. Scarce. Beautiful photography.
