Description: ALL OF THESE ESSAYS HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED IN JOURNALS AND NEWSPAPERS WITH THIS BEING THE FIRST PRINTING OF THE COLLECTION IN BOOK FORM HARDCOVER WITH DUST JACKET. FIRST EDITION. DUST JACKET NOW IN A BRODART SLEEVE. THERE IS DARKENING TO THE SPINE AND OVERALL AGE RELATED PAPER TONING TO THE JACKET WITH LIGHT SOILING AND EDGE NICKS AT BOTTOM OF SPINE AND OTHERWISE MINOR EDGE WEAR/RUBBING. THE BOOK IS IN VERY GOOD MINUS CONDITION WITH LIGHT SURFACE IMPERFECTIONS TO THE BOARD CLOTH, DUST AND LIGHT EDGE FADING TO BOARDS. PAGES HAVE AGE RELATED PAPER TONING WITH DUST ON TOP PAGE EDGES AND MINOR SOILING TO BOTTOM EXPOSED PAGE EDGES. INTERIOR IS UNMARKED WITH NO WRITING, NO TEARS AND NO HARD CREASES. (THE "MINUS" IS DUE TO A LIGHT CREASE THAT RUNS FROM APPROXIMATELY PAGE 30 TO PAGE 240 AS SHOWN IN LAST PHOTOS). IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE BOOK WAS BUMPED AND THESE ARE NOT HARD CREASES BUT AN ANGULAR LINE AND LIGHT CREASE EXISTS THROUGH THAT ENTIRE SECTION. SEE LAST THREE PHOTOS. PLEASE USE ZOOM FUNCTION ON ALL PHOTOS AS THEY ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. bs ? PLEASE NOTE: For book sales, I virtually always include a vinyl bag tightly wrapped on the exterior. This is an attempt to prevent any USPS employee from opening the package for inspection as it would be time consuming for them to repackage it. This is done simply because my packaging is done more carefully than their repackaging and also to protect the book from the elements. The vinyl bag covers cardboard protection and you can simply cut the bag open (carefully) and remove the contents. The cardboard protection is also typically held with tape and cutting in the obvious places will allow the cardboard to pop right open, exposing the book (in another protective vinyl bag). Using this method, you should be able to open any book I send in under a minute. No "buzz saw" is required. Thank you
