Description: Nice 2 LP set from 1977 put out by the Army Reserve, Titled William B. & Company. Hosted by William B. Williams, a well known NYC disc jockey for WNEW for over 4 decades. The Army Reserve contracted with him to produce weekly 25 minute talk/music shows with contemporary music artists of the day. The format included 4-5 songs in each segment, with talk/interview portions filling in the remaining time. Really interesting and wonderful format. This gatefold double LP album includes Bobby Vinton, 2 sessions recorded for airing on 1/30/1977 and 2/6/1977, the Manhattan Transfer, aired 2/13/1977, and Anthony Newley, aired 2/20/1977. One of a kind recordings. William B. was also known for giving Frank Sinatra the title, "Chairman of the Board". The interviews are especially very interesting. Both vinyl LP records fully play test VG+, with clean labels. Gatefold cover in a strong VG to VG+ condition, due to a stain on front, with a small continuation to back, see pics. Some light clear taping on bottom 2 seams totaling about 3 inches, otherwise front and back and interior very nice, and remainder of seams and spine are intact. White inner sleeves. Really nice unique items.
