Hard to find Original Mono First Pressing Female Pop / Country Vocal Album from Wanda Jackson, the Queen of Rockabilly. While this album, Produced by Ken Nelson, certainly leans to Country rather than Jackson’s early wilder Rockabilly side, there are some hints of her earlier style. In the Original Cover with NO Barcode or promo markings and on the Rainbow Rim Capitol Labels. Includes the Original Printed Capitol Inner Sleeve. This is a Los Angeles First Pressing as indicated by the Matrix / Vinyl Runout markings which read: Matrix / Runout (Side A label): T1-2606Matrix / Runout (Side B label): T2-2606Matrix / Runout (Both sides Runout, Stamped): ✲ Matrix / Runout (Side A Runout, Etched): T-1-2606-H-3- 1Matrix / Runout (Side B Runout, Etched): T-2-2606-H-3- 1 CONDITION The Sleeve is in nice shape. There is some fairly slight shelf wear and corner softening / wear. There is promo punch hole in the upper right. There are creases in both the right hand corners. Still very solid with no splits, writing, tears, stains, etc. and would rate VG. The Vinyl itself is in pristine Glossy condition looking barely played and possibly even Unplayed. If you really look closely you might be able to spot a couple light scuffs but still very close to New condition and easily rate Near Mint. The labels are also Near Mint. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words: Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK. Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them.
