Description: Vintage Set 2 BELLEEK PORCELAIN CHRISTMAS PLATES 1986 & 1987 IRISH ROSE/FLEABANEPattern Is Called 'IRISH COUNTRYSIDE'Both plates are from the Third Series. Irish Rose is the 3rd edition, Irish Fleabane is the 4th edition. Only 4 plates were made in this pattern so this is 1/2 of the set. Irish Rose has lovely wild pink roses in the center with embossed intricate patterning surrounding it and the words CHRISTMAS 1987. Border is a pretty flowering plant with leaves. Irish Fleabane has lovely yellow sunflower-like flowers with brown centers in the center with embossed intricate patterning surrounding it and the words CHRISTMAS 1986. Border is a pretty design of what looks like beets with leaves.Quality of the porcelain is magnificent- Belleek is known worldwide for their spectacular porcelain pieces. These particular plates as so delicate and wafer thin that you can literally see your hand through them when they are held up to light- see photo #14 Each Plate Same Size, Size Approx. 9"Across Excellent Condition No chips, nicks, cracks, scratches, or flaws.
