Description: Here's a unique one for the Pyrex collectors! This is a set of four glass square tiles: two in cobalt blue, one in red, and one in yellow, each designed as a sample displaying available colors. One has its original paper label printed with #5543 PYREX T.M. Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. Made in U.S.A. LT7. Both blue squares appear to be the same color and size, though only one is marked. Red is a beautiful deep ruby the same size as the blue pieces, also unmarked. The yellow tile, thinner and a hair larger than the others, is stamped 11954 in the corner and may be from another company, however, has been with the set for some years now. Each tile is approximately 3 1/8 inches tall and long, 0.3 inch thick on the blue and red pieces and 0.2 inch thick on the yellow. Excellent vintage condition: all pieces are intact, some edge chipping and fleabites as expected of a rough-finish sample piece of the age, no cracks. Please see pictures for further information.
