Description: Offered here is a very nice antique natural amethyst stone crystal handled letter seal. The amethyst exhibits natural fracturing lines giving it a marbled look. The seal surface is blank and not engraved. A unusual letter seal for any collection or desk decor indeed..... Size: The seal and handle have a total height of 2 & 1/8” High. The blank seal surface is 3/8” Square. Condition: The natural amethyst stone handle has natural fracture lines throughout. Two of the aforementioned fracture lines may possibly indicate that the handle was broken and repaired at some time in the distant past? I have inspected these two lines with a 10X jeweler’s loupe under a bright light and can see no evidence of any adhesive. As noted the seal area is un-engraved.
