Description: Up for Auction is a very nice Marx Prewar Streamline Sparkling Mechanical (Windup) New York Central Commodore Vanderbilt Tin Plate Train Set. This vintage O Gauge set was made a few years before WWII. This five piece train runs strong, and it can be seen on YouTube at: https://youtu.be/uWBLNqCJJzg (You may need to cut and paste this address if you are viewing this on a phone). This train looks original, and the black locomotive & tender are very nice. The train shows little wear, which is evidenced by the train underside and the way it runs on the video. The gondola comes with a weighted magnet. Both the tank car and the caboose are in nice condition The original 10 pieces of track (2 Straight & 8 Curves) have all their track joiners, and they are shiny. The original set box comes with this auction, along with two of the insert sleeves and a box for a car. The coloring on the lid of the set box is beautiful.
