The plate measures approximately 7 inches in diameter and sits 7/8 of an inch in height. The plate is hand painted with different intricate scenes around the plate with real gold leaf accents. I do not know whether this plate is a lunch plate or a teacup plate. The plate slightly dips toward the center. The back of the plate where the makers mark is located has a smooth porcelain rise in the center. In any event, this is a pretty decorative only hand painted picture plate.
