When we wind it up with the original key, it seems to work, you can hear the clock ‘tick’ and it keeps good time for a short time, but we can’t say how long for. We also don’t know if the chimes are working. We don’t know how to set the chimes. It has a plaque on the back that says Adolf Vortmann, Recklinghausen. It is approximately 70cm in length and 24cm tall. It comes with one original key. We have absolutely no clock knowledge, so cannot say if all the parts of the mechanism are all present and correct. Cosmetically it’s in reasonable condition commensurate with age. Please see all the photos for the best description and condition.
