Description: This beautiful soothing handmade quilt is a 6 sided star set in a 6 sided block pattern. It is made of 100% cotton fabric from the 1950s. It measures 95"x88". It will fit a full-size bed or would be lovely to cuddle with your sweetie on the couch. The six sided star has six diamonds coming together, all using the same floral fabric, which has pink and purple flowers with an occasional yellow flower and plenty of green leaves. Around each star is cream colored triangles. These make the block a six sided hexagon block. There is a sage green polkadot fabric. It is cut into triangles, which look like bowties which connect the six sided quilt blocks. This is a very demanding and difficult pattern. It was done by a master quilter. What a Labor of Love! The quilt has been HAND quilted. The Backing is the same cream fabric as around each star. The quilt is very clean and ready to enjoy. It is in excellent condition. There are no spots, tears, stains or fading or front. I found a couple very faded old small spots on back, see last picture. I found one 2 inch seam on the side that had opened up and I stitched it closed by hand. Amazing for being 70 years old. A romantic, vintage quilt. Stunning. The quilt weighs 5 1/2 pounds. 111724
