Description: This is an EMPTY box for an EXIDE HYDROMETER SYRINGE made by The Electric Storage Battery Co. (Philadelphia, PA.) The box shows signs of wear and tear including some "smudges" (see pictures). The inside also shows signs of being many years old. I'm not completely sure, but I would guess this box is from the late 1930s or 40s. The company was founded in 1888 and eventually became Exide Technologies. This item would make a great display piece in the garage or "automobile man cave" and would be a great addition to the stray HYDROMETER out there without its BOX !
