Description: This very unusual DBGM lidded Stein is made in Germany. It measures 6 inches to the top of the pewter lid without the lid the mug itself is 4 1/4 inches tall it has a diameter opening at the top of 2 1/4 inches and the base has a diameter of 2 5/8 of an inch. What makes this unique is that there is a pottery hanging insert on the mug the insert has a diameter of 1 7/8 of an inch and is one and three-quarter inches tall it is hanging from a chain with a small hook on the inside of the lid. I have done research and only found one other stein that was like this but it had already sold. And I have no idea what that insert is for unless it is to keep your beer cold
