Description: Vintage Dashiki, Off-White w. Purple Embroidery, Men’s Med, Long-Sleeved, Cotton I have three Dashiki-style/Indian-style shirts up on Ebay. Some might call them a hippie style shirt. They were all bought in the mid-1970s in the Chicago area, probably at art fairs or street fairs. This one is off-white with purple, floral embroidery. The label says “Charm, 100% Cotton, Made in India Hand Wash Cold, Use Cool Iron.” It is a fairly heavy, 100% cotton. Size M. From the top of the front to the bottom, it is 23½ inches long; from the top of the back to the bottom it is 26½ inches long. The chest is 21 inches across. The bottom is 23 inches across. The sleeve is 19 inches from the pit to the end of the sleeve. The overall condition is very good, but there are a few small stains on the sleeves as photographed. Also, there is some discoloration at the bottom of the front, about 4” x 4”. I have not tried to get them out. The cotton is not refined but rather has small natural blemishes, as these types of made in India shirts often have. The embroidery is in great condition.
