Description: This item is being sold for the employee holiday fund at the continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Maine where I live with my husband. All items are donated by the residents of the community and the net proceeds of all sales go to the fund that is distributed annually to the wonderful employees who help the many elderly residents here. I will give all the information I can about each item, but I am not the original owner. I have here a Vintage Chinese Large Porcelain Foot Bath Bowl Jardinière Cachepot Hand-Painted Fish. I know nothing about the history of this item, but I can tell you it’s GORGEOUS and in EXCELLENT CONDITION – NO CHIPS OR CRACKS that I see – SEE PICS!! It stands about 5½”, is 13½” across (not counting the handles, 17½” with the handles) and 10¼” deep. The top opening is 12” by 8¾”. On the bottom it is signed in red lettering and has a stamp that says, “NOT FOR SERVING - MAY POISON FOOD - FOR DECORATIVE USE ONLY”. There are two gold stickers on the bottom, one small one that says, “MADE IN CHINA” and a big round one “Yi Lin Arts & Treasures of China”. The outside and over the top edges is a beautiful deep blue background with green leaves, and red, yellow and purple flowers (see pics to see how pretty the colors and flowers are!). The inside is a white background and has sea creatures painted in it. There is a big fish on the bottom, crabs at either end and shrimp/crawfish like animals on the sides. Again, you must see the pics to see how lovely this foot bath is!! I have many other interesting items up for sale, many to benefit this wonderful employee fund.
