Description: This is a rare vintage metal and celluloid hair stick/pick for updo - the celluloid is butterscotch in color. The decorative metal fan at the top is silver in color. 7" in length and about 2" across the top of the fan. This type of hair stick or pick was used to hold long hair in place when formed into a bun or chignon. The bottom of the point is broken at the very tip of the point. (see photos) There may have previously been some metal at the bottom as well, or something like that. The celluloid seems to be split, or thinned at the bottom where something may be missing. Nice classic vintage hair accessory.
