Description: Vintage Carol Dauplaise 17” Metal Arrowhead & Wood Bead Necklace. Gold tone slide lock clasp. A great lightweight piece. I believe the middle “arrowhead” is made of copper. It’s not magnetic and a small test scratch looks like copper. But, the other two “arrowheads” that look like brass, seem to only be brass toned. They do react to a magnet. Which is interesting because the 2 metal beads and the 6 metal spacers might be actual brass. There are also some flat acrylic pieces, too. The sliding lock clasp is marked “Dauplaise” on one side, and has “Patent 3427691” on the other side. That patent number was/is registered to Miriam Haskell, who Carol Dauplaise worked for from 1959 to 1978. This necklace is in great condition.
