Description: Vintage Blown Mercury Glass Painted German Fish Ornament This fish ornament was given to me in the 1970’s by my aunt. I have never used it. She told me that when she got married in 1947 she purchased Christmas ornaments for their tree. This ornament most likely dates between 1940 and 1949 so it would now be 77 years old. It is in good used vintage condition. No chips, no cracks. It does have paint loss – please view the pictures as they are a part of this description. It measures 3 1/4 inches long, 1 1/2 inches height and 1 inch in width. It is hand blown and hand painted. I did an image search on Google and did not find this ornament. I also have Worthpoint and this ornament was not to be found. This ornament would make a great addition to your collection and will surely be cherished for years to come.
