Description: For sale is a somewhat rare (due to the short-lived nature of the model), vintage pair of Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban sunglasses, model w2023 coming which was part of the 'Orbs' line... Orbs were initially Rectangle sunglasses and were one of the first true performance sports styles and weren't made for very long period of time-- somewhere in the late '80s and early-mid '90s these were in circulation... These vintage Ray-Ban W2023 Orbs Axis Square sunglasses feature a cool and sleek matte gold Orbs frame, an early wrap design that took the sports world by storm when introduced and which remains enduringly popular today. Vintage Ray-Ban Orbs are highly sought after today, and few elicit the enduring popularity more so than the W2023 Orbs Axis Square with matte gold frame. Note the distinctive hinges and the S cut out in both ear stems, twisted and horizontal in appearance when almost every other pair of sunglasses in the world has arms with a vertical orientation....very unique! And, it makes for a great and reliable fit for when you're doing things and moving a lot. Great for biking and outdoor activities! Original lenses, nose pads, etc. I can attest that they're in great shape and look like new. Lenses are in perfect condition with no scratches at all, and very nice glass. Most listings for Orbs have replacement lenses, if you'll notice. These are the originals and were made when B&L produced Ray-Bans. A lot of other auctions selling this model are selling them with replacement lenses and much more than what I am looking for, to boot. Don't buy something that's incomplete when you can get the real deal for less money from me! The frames read w2023 which is the model, as mentioned before. They are of the Orbs line, Orbs Axis to be exact. I took photos of all insignia on the sunglasses, but admittedly, trying to capture the B&L logo in the nose pads was really hard, and it's very hard to make out the logo, but I assure you it's there. If you need a better photo, I can try and get one up. Authentic vintage B&L Ray-Ban Orbs, one of the more obscure or rarer models they once were making. This is back when they made them the right way, too. Sturdy as a whole with glass lenses, metal frames, nice nose pads, unique arms... They are a beautiful pair that would fit either sex, and it's a shame they weren't made for a longer period of time. I hate to part with them from my collection, but have other pairs I just like more, and these are going to waste just sitting on a shelf. These will ship with an authentic Ray-Ban leather case it fits in perfectly, and it will come with an authentic Ray-Ban cloth for keeping the lenses clean. None of these originally came with the sunglasses-- while I have a big collection, I guess I have no B&L cases, either. (The cases they were given to me were just a blank, black case-- you will be receiving an actual Ray-Ban case instead). Will listen to offers, but I also know how much these list for and saw a pair that is my exact model had sold for $350 on a different format. I am asking for a fraction of that total.
