Offering a rare Opexobo Russian Art Tile : A Russian hand painted glazed framed tile plaque depicting a building (church or monastery) in Orekhovo (Opexobo 3yebckar) The artist’s name is on the back sticker but I cannot read in Russian.Hand painted 6"x 6" Russian Art Tile - Architectural Scene Of Orthodox Churches, Cathedrals, Monasteries.This tile is securely framed in a wooden frame and has information written in Russian on the back . This tile appears to have been made in Opexobo, an area of Moscow province or collective. These collectives or "municipal enterprises" were basically set up by the state (the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, which ceased to exist circa 1992) and often made goods for Russian beriozka shops, often located in tourist hotels.This is a very rare tile in excellent condition having no chips or cracks.
