Description: Here is a vintage 1972 "Zuri" baby doll from Shindana Toys. She measures 13 inches long and has black molded hair. She is in very good condition, with no damage. The knitted outfit is probably not original, but is cute and fits her well. The sweater is tagged Korea. Shindana Toys was a division of Operation Bootstrap, launched in 1968 following the Watts Riots in Los Angeles. Proceeds supported community rejuvenation. Shindana was one of the first companies to produce ethnically accurate dolls. "Zuri" means beautiful in Swahili. Buy with confidence: I guarantee my merchandise to be as represented. Thanks~~Caroline.
