Description: Vintage Claricon Model 67-346 8" Speakers From the late-ish 60's.This Japanese manufacturer wasaround for quite a while.Not in the circle of the bighi-fi companies, just pokingat the low cost edges. This is a compact 8" 2-wayspeaker system. These aresealed cabinet types.Solid construction with realwalnut veneer.They measure 15"H x10"W x7"Dand weigh a solid 8 lbs each. Decent sound. I'm not a surround sound guy, but these strike me as suitable rears.Pretty decent bass, extendedhigh end. Clear mids.Played them at my bench all day. Check eBay for Claricon Receivers. Service:I replaced the tweeters.Had to fab a new mounting platebehind one of the horns.All new crossover parts.Replaced input connectors.New sealant all around. Cosmetics:Look good, but they do havesome cosmetic issues.I just polished up the cabinetsa bit. Shipping:UPS Ground
