Description: Victoria: A fine used pair of 3d rose, plate 4 Emblems watermark stamps, lettered JE & JF, - full perfs. Used on a front with a clear “Alexandria OC 21 (18)65 “ date stamp. Front has a couple of filing creases which do not affect the stamps. Sent ‘via Marseilles; British steamer’ to someone at Duckworth & Rathbone, who were renowned (cotton?) merchants in Liverpool. As per 600 dpi scans.
