It is in brand new, unsmoked condition. Altinay makes perhaps the finest meers on the market, and this pipe is a great example of their craftsmanship. This meer has a great shape to my eyes - something about that large dublin bowl paired with the square shank and saddle stem make this a very unique work of meerschaum! Originally purchased from Said Altinay in summer of 2023. Also worth mentioning - this pipe features the Altinay tenon. Unlike the screw tenons of old, prone to breakage, the Altinay tenon system uses delrin for a smooth and strong connection.
