The medallion is in gilded brass and enamels, two piece construction (the center medallion with coat of arms of the Lugansk Region is a separate, superimposed part). Measures 31.9 mm wide. The raised inscription along the edge of the medal is “For Merit in Fighting Crime”. The inscription on the white border is “Department of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Lugansk Region”. The bar near the top of the suspension has designation “3rd class”. The medal was issued prior to the 2013 separatist insurrection (by now, the city of Lugansk and part of its region are under the control of Russian-backed separatists)The medal is in EXCELLENT condition.PLEASE NOTE: this is an old OBSOLETE collectible MEDAL - NOT a Police Officer ID Badge.
