Germanium-transistors fuzz pedals have a strong mid-range emphasis which gives them their recognisable warm sound and generally have a better dynamic response.Warm fuzz tones are great, but if you want to go bigger and brighter with your sound then activate the octave up function. This adds a higher octave signal than not only gives your sound a doubled-up effect, it really helps it cut through the mix thanks to the higher octave tones.
