"Published February, 1924" stated on each copyright page, as required, with matching date of 1924 on each title page, as required, indicating a FIRST EDITION and FIRST PRINTING of this title. FINE (PRISTINE) two volumes in two NEAR FINE (NEAR PRISTINE) dust jackets. Original charcoal cloth bindings stamped in red. Top edge dark gray. Clean cloth with sharp tips and ends. Very clean interiors, with no previous owner's markings, and no signs of previous use. Page ends very clean, no fingerprints. Decorated endpapers with no markings, texts very clean. Red lettering and decoration on the front panels and spines bright and fresh. Books are squeaky clean and unread. Dust jackets with original price of "2 vols. $5.00 net" on each front flap, each with light rubbing at edges. Volume I's dust jacket with a 1/2 of an inch hairline tear at joint between spine and rear panel, plus a small chip and another smaller hairline tear on rear panel hard to discern as it lies flat. Both dust jackets appear near perfect in new mylar protectors. Very scarce in original dust jackets, with few coming to market. A gorgeous set impossible to find in this condition.
