It’s easy to vary the use in the XTR with a broad range of compatible rotors (sold separately) and inserts. Rotors for this refrigerated benchtop centrifuge auto lock into place and require no tools, so it takes only seconds to swap out. The SMARTspin technology auto-detects what rotor is in use, constraining parameters to the rotor’s specifications, and uses an imbalance sensor to monitor safe loading.The Thermo Legend XTR is easily set up and controlled from the bright 50 cm LCD digital interface. This centrifuge allows users to set up 5 quick access buttons for frequently used protocols and access a folder storing up to 99 user-defined programs. Users can also control how the Legend XTR starts and stops with 9 acceleration and 10 deceleration rates. The temperature range of this refrigerated benchtop centrifuge is from -10 ° C to +40°C with a precool function for when you’re working with temperature-sensitive samples.The speed display can be toggled between RCF and RPM with ranges up to 25830 RCF and between 300 and 15200 RPM depending on the rotor.
