Description: A hardcover copy of 'The Prophet' by Kahlil Gibran. This is a First Edition/24th Printing copy from 1930. The book most notably has water damage, but has no mold of mildew. The outside of the book was the most impacted, with dark areas and bubbling of the outer cloth in same spots. There are some areas on the book, mostly along the edges, where the cloth is missing and the boards are exposed. This may have been caused by silverfish. The headband on the spine is damanged and mostly just a thin layer of cloth. There is also some bending to the corners from bumping. Inside there is a previous owner's name written in pen on the front pasted down endpaper, as well as the original bookshop sticker at the bottom corner of the front free endpaper. There is no writing or markings to any of the other pages. There are also no dog eared corners to any of the pages. There is a little water damage to the pages, with most being near the upper corner nearest the binding, with some pages also having some lighter staining along the upper edge and corner. Some other pages also have other light stain spots. There is some rougher side edges, likely caused when the pages were initially split and separated. A copy with wear and tear, but the binding is still very solid and is still a very readable copy.
