Description: Mass market paperback box set of Tarl Cabot of Gor volumes 1 through 5 (Ballantine Books, 1976). Though Ballantine was the publisher of the first editions (also mass market paperback), these have the second cover art variant, although print numbers are counted from the first version. Set contains the first five Gor novels in the Chronicles of Counter Earth series: Tarsnman of Gor / Outlaw of Gor / Priest-Kings of Gor / Nomad of Gor / Assassin of Gor. All are 9th or 10th printings from 1976, except for Assassin of Gor which is a 15th printing from 1981. By this point, Ballantine owned Del Rey and the spine text/logo and cover art are slightly different. Moderate wear to box, especially around the edges and to rear side with book list. Book spines slightly slanted and with bumped corners. Covers scuffed and rubbed and with some creased corners. Nomads has heavier wear around edges and has liquid stain to bottom edge. Assassin has small stain to first page and inner cover. See photos.
