The book was written in 1961, published as a hardcover by Putnam Publishing, and won the Hugo Award for best science fiction novel for 1961. Avon Books published the first paperback edition, as Avon #V-2056 in June 1962, with a cover price of 75 cents and cover art by Neil Boyle. This is the edition that I have for sale, with no subsequent printing dates mentioned. It is in good condition with no markings. Spine creasing and slight spine slant.
