Description: Set of 3 Sterling Vitrified China restaurant ware salad plates. Tan/ beige background with brown bands around the edge with two different decorations. The band has a geometric design shielded with vertical thin lines.The bottom is stamped Sterling Vitrified China East Liverpool Ohio U.S.A. with the date mark of D, G, & L. Pieces were made around April - December of 1970's.The plates measure approximately: 7 1/4" (Diameter) x 3/4" (Height) which make them a salad size plate. There are no breaks, no cracks, no chips, no odor, no peeling/fading of color/ designs.However I do see faded stains, and lots of surface scratches from utensils.These plates have been well used, and enjoyed.They are strong and durable. They can last for many more years! Sterling China Elite STR62 Brown Shield Scroll Desert Tan Salad Plates. Vintage from the 1960's.Materials: Ceramic.This is the Elite pattern from the Sterling China Company consisting of a brown scroll and shield rim line on their great Desert Tan restaurant ware line of china. It is catalogued as STR62. Sterling China was based in East Liverpool, Ohio. China is very heavy industrial restaurant ware.These are only three salad plates that show minimal to no signs of use. Back marking indicates maker and USA. All of these pieces have the black Sterling back mark as shown. The feel of the china is very smooth and glossy.
