Vehicle measures approximately 5 inches long x 3 inches wide x 2 inches tall (mounted on base). NX-Alpha was one of three test vehicles, along with the NX-Beta and the NX-Delta, used in Starfleet's NX Project, the effort to test and refine the warp five engine designed by Henry Archer. As such, it was a predecessor of the NX-class starship. It was similar in appearance to Dr Cochrane’s Phoenix, with a tubular-shaped main body. The chief differences were found at the rear and in the shape of the ‘wing’ structures and nacelles. The fully illustrated magazine includes details of the ship's capabilities, design and appearances in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "First Flight". The collection features a full range of Federation and alien vessels including seven incarnations of the Enterprise; all the major Klingon vessels including the Bird-of-Prey; Dominion; Borg; and Romulan ships and is slated to include about 130 ships in total.
