These lights came up on a HAMB site discussion as good bright lights that several members are using on their 40 Ford. Several recommended these as better tail lights that may help avoid a rear end collision. The lights are far brighter than the original tai lights. The manufacturers information showss that the lights are designed to direct the light rearward better than the original tail lights.
