Description: This auction is for the original artwork by Jack Higgins for his Chicago Sun-Times editorial cartoon dated 1986. It is date stamped on the back May 15 '86. This cartoon deals with the aftermath of the Challenger disaster that occurred in January of 1986. The artwork measures approx. 11-1/2" x 17-3/4". This is the original artwork that Jack Higgins created. The artwork is in good condition - there are a few small marks/smudges/light dirt on the art - there is some small creasing to the tips of two corners - "For Sunday" is written along the top - there are some editor notes on the back - there is some light ink transfer on the back from artwork that was stored under this art - there are remnants of a torn piece of paper/surface tear on the back at the bottom measuring 3/4" x 3". A NICE, ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE OF EDITORIAL ARTWORK THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED! When packed, this will ship at the 2 pound rate - check the postage calculator. Jack Higgins has worked at the Chicago Sun-Times for over 35 years and won a Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning in 1989.
