Description: For sale is a 45 RPM vinyl single by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles titled "I Second That Emotion b/w You Must Be Love", originally released in 1967 by Tamla Records, a division of Motown Records. I bought this single used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then into a storage box for 45 RPM singles, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. In the dead wax, between the labels and end of the tracks, is machine stamped in italics "ARP", indicating that this record was made at American Records Pressing Company's pressing plant, located in Owosso, Michigan. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded between Good Plus (Side One) and Very Good Plus (Side Two) because of a scratch that can be felt with the fingertip at the beginning of Side One, along with superficial sleeve marks, none of which can be felt with a fingertip, but still with surfaces without any smudges or scuffs. There is a drill hole through the labels, which some believe indicates that this is a promotional single, not for sale. I'm play grading this record between Good Plus (Side One) and Very Good Plus (Side Two), for a composite grading of Very Good, because of a few seconds of ticking at the beginning of Side One and low levels of surface noise, none of which over-powers the music or vocals. It plays all the way through without any pops, skips or lock-ups from start to finish. You would be hard pressed to find a copy of this record in this condition, especially an ARP pressing. This would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection. Please read all descriptions and look at all pictures, as this is a final sale and I do not accept returns. Thank you for viewing my listing. I've been collecting records for more that 50 years and always clean them before and after playback to keep them in a pristine condition. I try to describe them to the best of my ability and use record grading guidelines like the Goldmine rating system as reference. Since retiring, I've begun to sell my very esoteric collection via my Ebay store (bobsanalogemporium) and will offer discounts for multiple sales. I always pack the items for sale in an archival inner sleeve, then put them in either a Kraft paper bubble mailer with sturdy cardboards or cardboard record mailers, always with the records separate from the jackets or its original picture sleeve, then sandwiched between sturdy cardboards before shipping. Please read all descriptions carefully and note all pictures before-hand, as I do not accept returns. Please visit my Ebay store for records, 45's, cassette tapes and comics of all different genres. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you viewing my listing.
