Description: NAPOLI, LITHOGRAFIE ORIGINALI DI ANTONIO CARBONATI Issued in Florence in 1926, a set of ten original lithographs of scenes around Naples, created by Antonio Carbonati (1893-1956), an artist noted for his finely-crafted views of Italian cities. Each large lithograph is signed and dated by the artist in the bottom left corner. Each image measures approximately 7.5" X 11.5" and is printed on a single sheet of heavy paper measuring 11.75" X 16.5". These and an introduction of several pages are housed in a paper folder, which is itself housed in a hardback folder of faux leather with a real vellum spine. This is #29 of only 200 such sets ever issued. The condition is excellent. The hardback folder is clean and sharp, with minor wear about the edges, including a little bruising at the corners. The inner paper folder has light wear, such as a crease at one corner. There are light stains to two of the introduction pages (see photo). The ten prints are all in fine shape, with minimal signs of age or handling. Individual lithographs in this set are not easy to find, and a complete set like this is an extreme rarity, never to be found at such a low price. Ships promptly & securely.
