Description: SEVEN PILLARS OF WISDOM by T. E. Lawrence Published by Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc. in 1937 This is T. E. Lawrence's own account of his involvement with the Arab revolt against Ottoman rule during the First World War. It is true literary classic and the book that Winston Churchill said "It ranks with the greatest books ever written in the English language." The book is enhanced by the author's vivid descriptions of Arabia and numerous illustrations. The book is in fairly good condition; the spine is tight, and the cover shows shelf wear with moderate soiling, scuffing and fading. The pages have some yellowing from age, but are clear and easily readable. The page opposite the title page is loose and a few of the pages are folded at the corner. There is no dust jacket. See photographs. This is a wonderful historical book and would be an excellent addition to anyone's book collection. The book is about 7" x 9-1/2" x 1-3/4", 672 pages, and about 3-4 lbs.+/- with packaging. (103122-129)
