Description: Rustic reclaimed barn wood wall mount COUNTRY FARM PIGEON HOLE CABINET with 12 cubbys. Excellent condition and clean. No pigeon droppings. Board for board rebuild of a French design Pigeon hole cabinet. Only the rotted boards were replaced by 100+ year old barn wood pieces. Freestanding or wall mount. 1.) Original cabinet was deconstructed and the pieces were scrubbed with water/bleach/Murphy's wood soap and a wire brush. 2.) The cleaned boards were air dried in sun for three days. 3.) The dry rot boards were replaced with exact cuts of like barn wood. 4.) Nail for nail construction with iron square head nails. 5.) Nothing added. Nothing taken away. Fresh end cuts on boards will gray with age. Constructed for another 100 years. This sturdy build will handle hundreds of pounds if mounted into studs. No weak spots or dry rot left. Weighs 30 pounds. The cabinet measures 48 1/8th inches long by 12 inches high and 9 1/8th inches deep. The top six cubby-hole interiors measure approximately 7 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches high and 3 1/2 inches deep. The bottom six cubby-hole interiors measure approximately 6 1/2 inches wide by 4 inches high and 6 1/2 inches deep. The 100+ year old barn wood has faint traces of the original paints. Lots of character lines, natural knots, nicks and cuts, color variations and weathered wood-grain patterns. This unique and well-made rustic cabinet is great indoors or out. Ready for installation.
