Description: Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam, Rendered Into English Verse by Edward Fitzgerald (1952 Hardcover w/DJ) This book is in very good condition. The dust jacket is in acceptable to rough condition. The book shows signs of age or wear through slight cover/spine fading, soil/age spotting/tanning, spine/cover edge/corner rub, corner push, spine upper/lower end rub/push, page edge rub or scuffs, page edge light soil, a couple of edge nicks, and yellowing/tanning of pages. Page 143 has 2 tears of about 1/16" with the paper folded between them. The folded section is about 1". The back cover has soil and/or tanning/browning around the edges. The back has a few light scuff or rub marks. The spine upper corners are rubbed enough to show slight splitting...they measure about 1/32". Only one outer corner shows push...the other three show little or no push. Hinges are not visible. Spine and hinges are in great shape. All pages are intact with additional creasing and no marks noted. The dust jacket shows notable signs of age/wear through cover/spine edge/corner rubbing/chaffing/tears/chips/splits/fraying/creasing, notable soiling/age spotting/scuffing, light tanning, and fading. Price clipped. Front top edge has tears of 2 1/4" and 3". All bottom edges are well chipped. All outer corners are split with the longest being about 3/4"...off of that chip on the back upper corner is a large chip. Off of that chip are several tears and notable creasing...the tears have been tape repaired. Spine front edge is creased. Spine corners are split if not chipped all the way across. Front book crease area has small slit and creasing from. Cover scratches. There is a lot of age spotting and staining. Spine shows more tanning or browning than faces. Smaller chips and tears throughout. Loose fit. Note about the seller – I am not selling books as much as I am sharing in a passion.
