Rare Vintage 1980 Band T-shirt The Clash Adrian Boot Photograph Belfast 1977

Description: This is a rare vintage band t-shirt for The Clash. I am not sure who manufactured this shirt, as there is no information on the label apart from the size and care. It was purchased in July 1980 at a record store in London. The screenprint is based on a photograph by Adrian Boot that was taken in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1977. The t-shirt is white and it is beautifully printed in black and red. The image is very fresh and clean after all these years, with Joe, Mick, Topper and Paul and a British soldier on the far left. The print overlaps the sleeves a bit, which looks cool. At the top left there is a loose string from manufacturing, which they printed right over. It was never trimmed off because I liked it (see photos #10 and #21 for detail). This is a seamless style shirt, and I believe it was cut and sized for young women. Fabric and care: 100% cotton - Machine wash warm, use mild soap, no bleach, reshape and dry flat - this is the info on the label which is quite faded The size on the label is listed at JR M, which I suppose means junior medium. This is vintage sizing, however, so I would say it might be an XS or even XXS today. On the back of the left sleeve there is a faint rust spot (see photo #19). There are a couple of rust spots on the back (see photo #20). Although the screenprint image seems unchanged, I think the fabric itself has thinned a bit over the years. The hem is a little stretched.
