Description: La Reale (meant "royal" and/or belonging to the king) was a galley of the French galley corps, and the flagship of the French galley fleet under King Louis XIV. The ship wasdesigned by Jean-Baptiste Chabert, and built in Marseille between 1692 and 1694. It was a highly ornate ship with intricate carvings and gold embellishments. This 1960's vintage kit from Pyro is complete with easy-to-follow instructions. Box has shelf wear and a few tape remnants. Parts include billowing sails, smartly trimmed masts and spars as well as an intricately detailed hull and deck. Box is open but kit is unassembled. All parts appear to be complete.
