I assume the author is a teenager, from Churchville, NY - west of Rochester in Monroe County. Written like a book overall, with an original story, essay, biographical information, autobiography by Ruth, an interview, speech, letters sent to Ruth, newspaper clippings, etc. On verso of title page says copyrighted 1936, American Book Company, First edition. The preface states: "A small portion of this story was printed by various sporting magazines, but much of it is imaginative." leaves of watermarked. lined paper, held together with two metal clasps. Includes table of contents and index. Well done, and a glimpse into the influence one of baseball's greatest players had on the public. In good to very good condition. Front cover has separated from the rest of the work. Light age toning, a few light creases. Light wear. Please see photos. If you collect 20th century American baseball history, Americana, sports game, etc. this is nice one for your image or paper / ephemera collection.
