RARE! NWT Taka Puna • Clacton & Frinton iconic twill wool Shirt • XXL • $200

Description: ATTENTION FANS OF CLACTON AND FRINTON as well as TAKA PUNA, Whether you got to know and love them on La Cinema in LA or at Taka Puna in Santa Barbara, there is nothing like this idiosyncratic clothing company. And to me there is nothing like their iconic twill shirt/jacket. A while before they closed I asked the owners if I could order another in their signature famous wool twill and was told they simply ran out of twill and there would be no other. What a shame because this fabric had a wonder fall to it that made even my tubby body look elegant and slimmer. This then is a miracle. It's one last version of their shirt that's brand new and unworn and features this amazing fabric. This is the loose style and then it's also XXL. I bought it thinking I would just get fatter and fatter and then I'd have something wonderful to wear. But I didn't. Now I can't see holding on to it and I can't imagine turning it over to my excellent tailor to be cut down for me. It just wouldn't be the same. So if this is the size range you require you're going to love this shirt. It has the signature pointed neck in the back. It has the scalloped flapped pockets in the front. It's cut straight across the bottom so you can wear it as a light weight jacket, even wear a shirt and tie under it. It has it all. This one was sold to me "as is" but honestly I can't find anything but perfection. Except perhaps for one tiny pin hole in the back. See if you can't find it. You won't be able to. And maybe a little dirt on the lower front way down near the hem. I sincerely believe it would go away with any kind of moist cloth. Or your first dry cleaning. If you're a true Clacton & Frinton fan, none of this matters. There won't be any more of these being made. And this may be the only unworn, brand new one out there.
