Description: June Payne Hart’s art has come a long way since her first effort when, at the age of three, she took brush in hand and literally painted the family cat with green paint! Years later, the budding artist became the youngest student to gain admission to Birmingham College of Art in her native England. After graduating with honors, she became a design consultant for Harrod’s of London and worldwide chief designer for Accord Greeting Card publications.In 1980, the artist moved to Sedona, Arizona, and her art career took a new turn. Hours of sketching the desert wildlife resulted in her growing awareness of the planet’s natural environment, especially the plight of its animals. June became an active supporter of animal rescue organizations and continues to work closely with many humane societies. Much of her work is used for fundraising purposes for such organizations, including The Humane Society of Sedona. Throughout the years, June has received many prestigious awards and her paintings are often sold prior to completion to be added to private collections.
