Description: For sale is vinyl album by Quincy Jones titled "Sounds....And Stuff Like That!", originally released in 1978 by A&M Records with a special embossed cover. I bought this used and immediately cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine before putting it into an archival inner sleeve. Doing this protects the vinyl and any inner sleeve or insert that may have come with the album. The inner sleeve is graded as Near Mint with a slight crease to one corner. According to the liner notes, this record was mastered by Bernie Grundman at A&M Recording Studios of Hollywood, California. In the dead wax between the last tracks and the labels is etched a backword facing "S", followed by the matrix numbers T-1/P-2, indicating that early stampers were used to make this record at Columbia's pressing plant located in Santa Maria, California. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought out by collectors and music lovers for their superb sound qualities . The cover is graded as Excellent because of corner blunts, edge rubs, small stress cracks along the spine and two creases across the corners. The spine has color loss at the corners from blunts and along it edges from stress cracks and rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint with surfaces that are shiny and bright, in a like new condition, without any surface scratches, smudges or spindle marks on the labels. I'm play grading it as Near Mint, with a pop on Side two, but without any surface noise, tics, lock-ups or skips from start to finish. I have more Soul and R&B albums, as well as records of all genres in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing. I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
